Little Luminaries was born from two educators who spent decades watching something change in the hearts of children.
Between us, Deb, a Child Wellbeing and Social Emotional Learning Specialist, and Sandra, a Behaviour Support Specialist, Teacher and Education Leader, have spent a combined over 60 years supporting children, families and schools.
We’ve sat with kids in classrooms, counselling rooms, playground conflicts, friendship tears, anxious mornings, confidence dips, and those beautiful breakthrough moments where a child finally believes in themselves.
Over time, we began to notice a pattern we couldn’t ignore.
Childhood Was Becoming Harder. Faster. Earlier.
We saw a steep rise in:
– anxiety and low confidence
– friendship struggles
– emotional overwhelm
– difficulty self regulating
– fear of making mistakes
– kids “checking out” when things got hard
And we saw it happening younger and younger, especially as children moved into early high school and puberty began.
At the same time, imagination and play, once strong protective factors, were fading.
-Screens were replacing stories.
-Scrolling was replacing creativity.
Kids were wired, overwhelmed, overstimulated… and under supported emotionally.
And parents?
They were trying their best in a world that doesn’t slow down.
-Busy.
-Stretched.
-Worried they were getting it wrong.
-Craving support that didn’t feel clinical, complicated or time consuming.
We saw it every day. We felt it.
And we knew something needed to change.
We Had One Big Question:
“How can we give families the emotional tools they need…in a way that feels gentle, magical, simple and accessible?”
The answer came from where all good stories begin, childhood imagination.
Why Mystical Mail?
The Magical Realm and its guardians have always held a special kind of mystery, soft, kind and a curious wisdom that children instinctively trust. They speak gently. They teach in stories. They help children feel seen.
We knew that if a child heard from the magical friend each month, the experience would become:

Sending Magic Your Way ✨
At Little Luminaries, we lovingly prepare and ship all orders from Australia. Below you'll find everything you need to know about how your parcel travels from our hands to your home, whether you're just around the corner or across our country.
🌏 International Orders & Customs
We do not currently ship internationally.
🚚 Dispatch & Shipping Times
We ship parcels Wednesday & Friday , with collections between 12–1pm AEST.
You’ll receive tracking via email once your order is on its way. Please double-check your shipping address at checkout (especially if using ShopPay), as we can’t take responsibility for incorrect or outdated addresses.

- Express Shipping (Australia): $19.95 AUD
Please note: this speeds up delivery, but not production time—please still allow 3–5 business days for your item to be made.
🇦🇺 Domestic Shipping (Australia)
- All orders are shipped via Australia Post.
- Tracking is provided on all parcels.
- Delivery times vary by region.
- We are not responsible for any postal delays, but we’re happy to assist you in contacting Australia Post if needed.
💸 Currency
All prices on our website are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD). You can switch to your local currency using the dropdown on our site, but the final checkout will process in AUD.
📬 Unclaimed Items
Keep an eye on your tracking! If your parcel is returned to us because it wasn’t claimed:
- You will be refunded minus the original and return shipping costs.
- If your order qualified for free shipping, we will deduct a standard $15 shipping fee from the refund.
🌍 Duties, Taxes & Customs
Every country has different rules. It is your responsibility to know whether taxes or duties apply to your order.
If you refuse to pay taxes or duties and your parcel is returned:
- Shipping and return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.
- Refunds are only given if the product is returned to us in its original condition.

What is the Mystical Letters?
Mystical Mail Letters is a magical monthly letter service where children receive enchanting letters from the Mystical Realm. Each letter is designed to spark imagination, encourage emotional growth, and bring a little wonder into their world. A new character appears each month adding to the anticipation and the gentle lesson based on our 6 pillars of Emotional and social learning is woven magically into the letter.
How does it work?
-Once payment is Made (once off- no ongoing subscription) Your Free welcome letter is posted within 3 business days
- Each month, for the length of your selected journey your child receives a beautifully written letter from a magical friend delivered in a personalised envelope.
-The letter shares magical stories, gentle lessons, and uplifting messages to nurture creativity and confidence.
Is the letter personalised to my child?
While the letter itself is not addressed to your child by name. The envelope will be personally addressed to them, making it a truly magical experience when it arrives! if you want a truly magical experience our top tier The Enchanted Experience, available to only 20 families per annum includes a personalised letter and magical gifts each month
What age groups are the fairy letters designed for?
Our letters are currently available for: 3 - 12- Younger children will need more support in reading the letter.
What is included in my Purchase?
- When you purchase, your child will immediately receive a special introduction letter from the mystical Realm introducing them to the experience, and all subsequent letters will be sent out on the 15th of each month.
- We have 3 tiers available for a varied experience and to suit your families needs
-Whispers From the Realm - Letter and personally addressed envelope each month of the journey.
- Words of Magic - Letter and affirmation card to accompany the letter from the mystical friend who has written to them that month
-The Enchanted Experience- A fully personalised experience with your child name written within the letter, accompanying affirmation card and magical gifts to collect.
Can I gift a Letter Experience?
Absolutely! You can purchase a letter journey as a special gift . You can pop the details of who it is from when ordering and we will let them know it's from you.
Can siblings share a Letter Journey?
Yes, many families choose this and we will address the letters to a family or a group of children. Just let us know how you would like your letter journey addressed during purchase.
Delivery & Access
When will my child receive their first letter?
-When you commence your letter journey, your child will immediately receive a special introduction letter, and all subsequent letters will be sent out on the 15th of each month.
-Physical Letters: Posted out on the 15th of each month or the next business day.
What if my letter hasn’t arrived?
Please allow a few extra days for postal deliveries, as times may vary. If you still haven’t received your letter, contact us, and we’ll ensure a replacement is sent.
How can I make the Mystical Mail letter experience even more magical for my child?
-Read the letter together and discuss its themes.
-Encourage your child to draw or write about their letter.
- Discuss with them the gentle message within the letter. This is the important connection and learning moment for children where they are learning without it feeling like a lesson.
